Jigsaw, the diabolical criminal who captured the imagination of horror fans in the 2004 hit Saw,
returns in this equally bloody sequel. Eric Matthews (Donnie Wahlberg) is a police detective who,
after discovering the aftermath of a particularly gruesome murder, is convinced that Jigsaw
(Tobin Bell) is up to his ugly tricks again. Matthews's hunch turns out to be correct, but the master
criminal proves to be disconcertingly easy to capture. As it happens, Jigsaw is eager to be put behind
bars in order to throw the authorities off his trail as he once again punishes people who in his eyes
have transgressed the boundaries of acceptable moral behavior. But instead of trapping two people in
a filthy dungeon where they must engage in a terrible contest in order to win their freedom, eight
people have been locked away by Jigsaw, and they must torture their bodies and minds to achieve the
terrible justice Jigsaw seeks.

"I wasn't actively seeking things that would freak out my 7th Heaven fans.
I was more looking for a role that was challenging and frightened me and really push my limits
and that was definitely accomplished with Saw II. Laura is definitely a piece of work;
not the easiest character. " - Beverley Mitchell
On her character's backstory: "We came up with some ideas. None of which has any real
impact on the movie but we decided that she was a kleptomaniac because she was fashionably
dressed compared to the rest of them. She definitely has trouble with her parents but we didn't
really dive too deep." - Beverley Mitchell
"The one that was the most terrifying was the initial freak-out scene because I didn't have
anything prepared. I don't normally scream in my real life so that was definitely a challenge.
I had no idea what to expect, I was just praying it was something [director] Darren [Lynn
Bousman] would like." - Beverley Mitchell
"It was a great experience and we were able to snap out of the horrific screaming and the
absolute terror and go get Snickerdoodles. Emmanuelle [Vaugier] and I were always causing a
ruckus. We just had a good time and I think that's also what makes that film work so well
is that we were able to really let go because we trusted each other. I think you definitely
see that in the film and it came out pretty well." - Beverley Mitchell
"I like the crematorium scene, where I freaked out once I realized that Obi was her attacker.
I think that's a cool moment and I think it's nice how it finally all comes together and
things start making sense and everybody starts figuring it out. It is also the time where
everybody stops trusting everyone else." - Beverley Mitchell
